First Trailer For Mile 22 Featuring Mark Wahlberg And Ronda Rousey

First Trailer For Mile 22 Featuring Mark Wahlberg And Ronda Rousey

Directed by Peter Berg (Deepwater Horizon), the film stars his frequent collaborator Mark Wahlberg as the leader of a lethal and secret Central Intelligence Agency black-ops unit. Director Peter Berg is familiar with Mark having worked with him on Lone Survivor, Patriots Day and Deepwater Horizon. First-time screenwriter Lea Carpenter - author of a novel about a special-ops agent who vanished during the hunt for Osama bin Laden - delivered the script with "Jack Ryan" co-creator Graham Roland. His character, James Silva, assigned with a retrieval and transport mission of an asset through 22 miles of treacherous territory. Otherwise, Mile 22 looks like exactly the type of late-summer popcorn fare that one would expect from Berg and Wahlberg.

The movie also stars WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey in all her glory.

The trailer is jam-packed full of incredible action set-pieces and it seems to really utilise its cast well.

"That's because you're mentally unstable", snipes colleague Alice (played by Lauren Cohan). Why did they give John Malkovich that very bad hairpiece? Mile 22's first trailer is here, and there are no Eminem battle raps here (though there is a Jay-Z song on the trailer) - just 22 miles of unsafe terrain across which Wahlberg's operative and his team have to escort Uwais.
