Yohan Cabaye 'unsure' of Crystal Palace future

Yohan Cabaye 'unsure' of Crystal Palace future

Manchester City are closing in on a £50million deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, the Premier League's April Player of the Month, John Richardson of the Mirror reports.

Following a torrid spell with Manchester United, Zaha has successfully revived his career upon returning to Crystal Palace, and he played a enormous role in helping the Eagles stay afloat and avoid relegation this season.

"I have no plans on leaving".

The Premier League season concludes on Sunday with Crystal Palace hosting West Brom at Selhurst Park.

I'm really very disappointed that their last game in the Premier League will be against a team that I'm managing, I'd have preferred that to have fallen to somebody else because I do feel strongly for the club.

While champions City certainly boast the resources to make a compelling offer, Roy Hodgson says money will have no bearing on Zaha's future.

The player has said in the past that he is committed to playing at Crystal Palace but claimed he can not confirm his future at the club if the "top 6" teams start bidding for him.

They were frustrated for long periods of the game by the already-relegated Baggies who suffered a first defeat under their caretaker manager Darren Moore.

Crooks said in his BBC Team of the Week: "The first thing Roy Hodgson must do, above all else now Crystal Palace have secured their Premier League status, is sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a permanent basis".

The result did little to undermine the steadying presence Moore has provided since replacing Alan Pardew, although the former Baggies defender would not be drawn on his chances of a full-time appointment.

At the heart of the transformation was a pact that allowed senior players to keep order in the squad while Hodgson concentrated on coaching the side to 44 points and 11th position. "Everyone has been speculating and I will leave it as that", he said.
